This thermal shipping liner offers more space than smaller variants and is often chosen for composite or wider shipments that need to remain chilled or frozen for longer periods. In practice, the products are placed inside the insulated liner, which is then packed into a cardboard box. This setup provides a stable and reliable cold chain packaging suitable for longer transit times and shipping under warmer conditions.

More layers, more insulation

This isothermal liner consists of six insulating layers, including metalized PET foil and additional insulation material. This multilayer construction slows down heat transfer from the outside more effectively than standard cold chain packaging. This helps maintain a more stable temperature inside the packaging during chilled shipping. In terms of insulation level, this 6-layer thermal packaging is comparable to a thick-walled EPS box. At the same time, the liner is more flexible in use, serves as a practical alternative to EPS, and takes up less storage space.

Combination with gelpacks

For optimal performance, this insulated liner is used in combination with gelpacks. The gelpacks are placed on top of the products inside the liner so that the cold can spread from top to bottom. It is important that the isothermal liner is well filled and that as little air as possible remains inside the packaging. The number of gelpacks depends on factors such as the desired transit time and ambient temperature. Since this varies per situation, it is recommended to approach this based on testing or to seek advice.
